This summer, I had the joy of caring for my 7-year-old grandson, Noah, for a couple of weeks, while his mom began a new position at a school and attended training. Our days together were both wonderfully energizing and, I’ll admit, a little exhausting! There’s truly nothing like experiencing the world through a child’s eyes. We roared with dinosaurs, built block houses, played dominoes (sneaking in a little math practice), and even spent time coloring side by side. Grandchildren have a special way of renewing your sense of purpose, and I’m so grateful I could adjust my schedule to be there for him. That flexibility is one of the greatest gifts of owning your own business.
